Dick was know for his generous heart. He loved to bake and was known by many for his wonderful bread and scones. He could always be found happily delivering his baked goods to Doctors offices, friends and family. He loved his Country and was a proud Navy veteran of WW II. He was often heard singing Oh Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way He loved his family, his country and his Manhattans!

He had many, what we called "Dwyerisms", sarcastic bits of his wisdom. He had a stubborn old way that drove us crazy at times, but a keen Irish wit that would always make you laugh.
